Seasonal Home Maintenance Checklist
Spring
Check the roof and gutters after winter, repoint where mortar has failed, service air bricks and extractor fans, and look for damp patches.
Summer
Paint woodwork and windows, check fences and paving, clean drains and treat any pest entry points.
Autumn
Clear gutters and downpipes, service the boiler, bleed radiators, check loft insulation and lag pipes.
Winter
Keep heating on low when away, know where the stopcock is, watch for condensation and act on leaks quickly.
