In short: Lower rents are generally found in outer boroughs such as Barking and Dagenham, Bexley, Havering, Croydon, Sutton and parts of Enfield, and in areas on newer transport links like the Elizabeth line east and west. Sharing, studios and slightly longer commutes can save hundreds a month.
