In short: Choose a CCTV installer accredited by NSI or SSAIB, who can survey the site, recommend camera placement and explain data protection duties. Businesses, landlords filming common areas, and homeowners whose cameras capture beyond their boundary must follow UK GDPR: display signs, limit coverage, secure recordings, set a retention period and respond to access requests. In rented homes and HMOs, landlords should not install cameras inside tenants' private spaces. Fraser Bond doesn't install CCTV, but can arrange contractors for managed buildings.
